The Role

We are seeking an Associate Manager, Social Media Operations to help lead the day-to-day operation and continued evolution of Prudential’s social media operating model. This role will serve as the operational backbone of Prudential’s owned social channels, ensuring content is planned, reviewed, published, tagged, monitored, and maintained with consistency and care.

In addition to managing core social operations, this individual will help identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen governance, increase visibility, and scale execution across Prudential and PGIM. Working closely with the Director of Social Media, the role will translate day-to-day operational learnings into recommendations that improve how the broader social media system works over time, while coordinating across Social Media, Brand Advertising, Communications, Business Marketing, Paid Media, Analytics & Insights, Legal, Compliance, agencies, and platform partners.

What You'll Do

Social Media Operations & Channel Management

  • Support day-to-day management of Prudential’s owned social channels, ensuring they are current, maintained, and operating effectively.
  • Manage routine channel hygiene, including profile updates, link checks, platform access, naming conventions, captions, thumbnails and basic maintenance.
  • Identify recurring operational issues or process gaps and help resolve them with the broader social media team.
  • Provide backup support for community monitoring and moderation as needed, routing questions or potential issues through established escalation protocols.

Publishing, Scheduling & Editorial Calendar Support

  • Manage the social publishing calendar, tracking posts, assets, copy, links, disclosures, targeting inputs, and approval status.
  • Schedule and publish approved content across social platforms and tools, ensuring posts launch accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate publishing workflows with content strategists, agencies, Communications, Paid Media, Product Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure content packages are launch-ready, including copy, creative, alt text, links, tags, UTMs, SRT/Caption files, thumbnails, talent rights, required disclosures and approvals.

Content QA, Compliance & Operational Hygiene

  • Review social content before publishing to confirm alignment with approved copy, creative, brand standards, platform requirements, accessibility expectations, and compliance guidance.
  • Track approval status and documentation to ensure required reviews are completed before launch.
  • Maintain consistent tagging, taxonomy, file naming, version control, link management, and asset management practices.
  • Partner with content strategists and reviewers to resolve executional issues before launch.

Asset, Knowledge & Documentation Management

  • Maintain social asset repositories, content archives, publishing records, operational documentation and internal “Social Media Hub” page.
  • Document repeatable processes, checklists, templates, and ways of working that improve consistency and reduce friction.
  • Support records management and content retention practices with appropriate internal teams.
  • Capture learnings, recurring issues, platform updates, and operational best practices.

Measurement Readiness & Data Stewardship

  • Own the operational processes that ensure social media activity can be measured accurately and consistently.
  • Maintain campaign tagging structures, content classifications, tracking conventions, and metadata standards.
  • Validate the integrity and consistency of data inputs used for reporting and performance analysis.
  • Coordinate with reporting and analytics partners to ensure content and campaigns are structured for measurement.
  • Surface data quality issues, workflow bottlenecks, and operational trends, and recommend corrective actions.

Operating Model & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with the Director of Social Media to strengthen and evolve the social media operating model across teams, channels, and partners.
  • Translate recurring execution challenges, stakeholder needs, and platform changes into recommendations for improved workflows, governance, tools, and ways of working.
  • Develop clear operational views of upcoming content, workflow health, risks, dependencies, and resource needs to support leadership decision-making.
  • Help establish scalable standards, service expectations, roles, and handoffs across internal teams, agencies, and other execution partners.
  • Support implementation of new tools, processes, and operating practices that improve speed, consistency, accountability, and risk management.

Partner & Workflow Management

  • Serve as a day-to-day operational liaison with agencies, platform partners, internal marketing teams, Communications, Legal, Compliance, Paid Media, and Business Marketing.
  • Coordinate routine requests, content handoffs, workflow updates, and status tracking across stakeholders and social workstreams.
  • Ensure partners have the information, assets, approvals, and timelines needed to execute work accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce duplication, and improve execution consistency.
  • Provide day-to-day workflow direction, training, and operational guidance to coordinators, interns, agencies, and other partners supporting social content execution.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in social media, marketing, communications, digital marketing, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience supporting social channels, publishing workflows, editorial calendars, community management, or social operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple posts, assets, approvals, timelines, and stakeholder inputs.
  • Familiarity with major social platforms and management tools; publishing, monitoring, listening, tagging, or reporting experience. Sprinklr experience preferred.
