Sr. Technical Designer

A leading fashion house is searching for an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join their collaborative, fast-paced apparel design team. This role focuses on woven product development, ensuring precision in fit, construction, and production execution. This technical designer will partner with merchandising, factories, and design teams to bring beautifully constructed garments from concept to store with speed and accuracy. RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop comprehensive technical packs; including accurate sketches, detailed construction specs, and precise measurement standards.

• Lead fit sessions on live models, capture fit notes, and communicate revisions to global factory partners.

• Collaborate across product development and merchandising teams to ensure garments meet brand and customer expectations for fit, function, and finish.

• Manage the sample and approval timeline, including fit, pre-production, and size grading.

• Ensure technical accuracy by inputting and maintaining grade rules and measurement consistency across all styles.

REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or related field.

• 5–10 years’ experience in technical design, with deep expertise in woven apparel categories (tops, dresses, outerwear, or bottoms).

• Demonstrated success in import production and understanding of factory processes.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Excel for technical sketches, updates, and data tracking.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills; thrives under deadlines.

• Excellent communicator and proactive collaborator who values efficiency and accuracy.
