Job Description
- Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for automated industrial equipment
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate requirements into functional control systems
- Integrate PLCs with HMIs, sensors, actuators, and industrial networks
- Test, debug, and validate control logic to ensure safety and reliability
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and on-site startup
- Troubleshoot system issues and support ongoing maintenance
- Create documentation, schematics, and training resources
- Optimize existing systems for improved performance and uptime
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NFPA, UL, IEC)
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Experience programming PLCs in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency in Ladder Logic and/or Structured Text
- Experience with major PLC platforms (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or AutomationDirect)
- Knowledge of HMI development, industrial networks (Ethernet/IP), and electrical schematics
- AutoCAD Electrical or similar experience a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Willingness to travel for installations and support as needed
