About Us

ProX Fulfillment is building a modern 3PL grounded in people, process, and operational excellence. Our success depends on assembling a team of driven, adaptable, and goal-oriented individuals who bring our mission to life every day. We currently support three brands—and we’re continuing to expand our team, capabilities, and partner network.

Job Summary

ProX Fulfillment is seeking a driven, resourceful, and detail-oriented Director of Warehouse Operations to lead the complex and fast-moving world of 3PL fulfillment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the safety of our teams, operational quality, and full P&L ownership. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, you will have the autonomy to shape and scale ProX’s fulfillment operation—including the freedom to build your ideal fulfillment center.

If you thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments, excel at process improvement, are passionate about building and developing high-performing teams, and have experience collaborating with multiple corporate partners, we’d love to hear from you!

This is a hands-on leadership role—part strategic, part tactical, and consistently focused on execution.

This position is based in Westerly, Rhode Island and requires full-time onsite work.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal company safety standards.
  • Oversee all daily fulfillment center functions: receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory management.
  • Manage customer SLAs across DTC, wholesale, marketplace, and retail channels.
  • Establish, track, and report on KPIs including productivity, accuracy, capacity planning, workforce utilization, and cost per order.

Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead capacity, labor, and budget planning for annual and seasonal volume expectations.
  • Implement process improvements using lean methodologies, automation tools, and data-driven decision-making.

Leadership & People Management

  • Develop and lead managers and supervisors across multiple shifts.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop fulfillment center talent; build a bench and succession pipeline.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain Ops, Merchandising, Customer Service, Finance, and Transportation.
  • Serve as the escalation point for fulfillment issues and customer-impacting exceptions.
  • Support onboarding of new products, vendors, and services requiring operational changes.

Skills

  • 5–10 years of warehouse or fulfillment leadership experience, ideally within high-growth DTC e-commerce or startup environments.
  • Comfortable operating without a playbook— you build it.
  • Strong WMS expertise and the willingness to dive into systems and data.
  • Experience managing labor-intensive operations and cross-shift teams.
  • Metrics-driven decision maker who relies on data, not assumptions.

Qualifications

  • Fork lift certifications preferred.
  • Experience in consumer brands, DTC, or 3PL environments.
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above).
  • Experience scaling operations during rapid growth or peak seasonal demand.
  • Knowledge of labor-management best practices (temporary labor, incentive programs).

Benefits

  • Paid Vacation
  • Health Insurance
  • 401k Plan
