Job Summary
ProX Fulfillment is seeking a driven, resourceful, and detail-oriented Director of Warehouse Operations to lead the complex and fast-moving world of 3PL fulfillment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the safety of our teams, operational quality, and full P&L ownership. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, you will have the autonomy to shape and scale ProX’s fulfillment operation—including the freedom to build your ideal fulfillment center.

This is a hands-on leadership role—part strategic, part tactical, and consistently focused on execution.
This position is based in Westerly, Rhode Island and requires full-time onsite work.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal company safety standards.
- Oversee all daily fulfillment center functions: receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory management.
- Manage customer SLAs across DTC, wholesale, marketplace, and retail channels.
- Establish, track, and report on KPIs including productivity, accuracy, capacity planning, workforce utilization, and cost per order.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Lead capacity, labor, and budget planning for annual and seasonal volume expectations.
- Implement process improvements using lean methodologies, automation tools, and data-driven decision-making.
Leadership & People Management
- Develop and lead managers and supervisors across multiple shifts.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop fulfillment center talent; build a bench and succession pipeline.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Supply Chain Ops, Merchandising, Customer Service, Finance, and Transportation.
- Serve as the escalation point for fulfillment issues and customer-impacting exceptions.
- Support onboarding of new products, vendors, and services requiring operational changes.
Skills
- 5–10 years of warehouse or fulfillment leadership experience, ideally within high-growth DTC e-commerce or startup environments.
- Comfortable operating without a playbook— you build it.
- Strong WMS expertise and the willingness to dive into systems and data.
- Experience managing labor-intensive operations and cross-shift teams.
- Metrics-driven decision maker who relies on data, not assumptions.
Qualifications
- Fork lift certifications preferred.
- Experience in consumer brands, DTC, or 3PL environments.
- Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above).
- Experience scaling operations during rapid growth or peak seasonal demand.
- Knowledge of labor-management best practices (temporary labor, incentive programs).

Salary Range $150,000- $165,000
