We are Prowse Manufacturing Group, Inc. and we are currently in search for a Planner/Buyer!
Schedule: 7am to 3:30pm; Monday-Friday
Salary: depending on experience.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Planner/Buyer is responsible for gathering all requirements and technical data to properly estimate manufacturing costs and lead time. The buyer will also be required to work with suppliers to identify appropriate partners. We produce a wide variety of parts with different processing, you must be able to determine the appropriate manufacturing process for each part. The Buyer must be well versed in metal forming, CNC machining, metal finishing and heat treat specifications as well as sourcing raw materials (sheet metal, billet, forgings, castings, etc). You will be responsible to buy materials, locating sources and suppliers for processing/materials, gathering technical data, estimating costs, and working with suppliers and customers.
The ideal candidate will be well organized, proficient, knowledgeable and proactive. Must be a team player.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-- Proficient in resource allocation and scheduling.
-- Familiar with Job-Boss, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
-- Be able to gather technical data required for work flows and have good knowledge of aerospace supply chains.
-- Able to create work flows and understand the processes and specifications required.
-- Proficient with cost estimating for CNC milled and precision sheet metal parts.
-- Able to locate new suppliers
--Able to interact with suppliers and customers professionally.
-- Able to be a competent project manager.
-- Familiar with general office duties.
