Full-Time Position
Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner provides independent primary care in a variety of clinical settings to a specified population of non-emergency patients. Provides consultation and advice to others as a highly-specialized practitioner.
General Description
Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education. Obtains patient histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Provides health education to students, families, and/or community health practitioners and groups, within area of specialty.
Responsibility
All charts are completed within Timelines of Medical Staff by Laws. Supervises and/or coordinates the activities of patient care and/or support staff.
Accountability Nurse Practitioner/PA reports directly to the Clinic Manager
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Nursing
- Current license from the Colorado State Board of Medical Examiners.
- CPR certifications required.
- ACLS certification required or obtained within the 6 months of employment.
Experience: 6 months to 1-year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred
Skills:
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong knowledge base in financial and clinical aspects of care.
- Working knowledge of resources and effective skills in managing, teaching, negotiating, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary groups, and client/family focus.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, administration and the public.
Employment Variables:
Works mainly in an office area. General working hours are 40 hours/week Monday thru Friday. On call rotation and occasional evening hours.
Salary Range
$57.02-$70.13 per hour based on experience. This is a fulltime benefitted position that includes, paid time off, paid sick time, holiday pay, Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, life and disability insurance, free gym membership and automatic enrollment in retirement plan with employer match. Student loan reimbursement and relocation assistance available.
