PCI is looking for a construction project manager to join our growing operation. Applicants must have ample experience with residential construction project management, leadership, construction management software, and Microsoft suite. PCI is looking for a highly motivated, conscientious, highly organized individual with a positive attitude. Applicants must have the strong communication, literacy, and computer skills necessary to effectively manage residential construction in today’s rapidly evolving business environment.
Provost Companies Inc. (“PCI”) is a design-build-maintenance firm that has been servicing the Metro West & South Shore areas of Massachusetts for over 18 years. We focus on the complete evolution of real estate development projects including design, construction, and post-construction maintenance. Our residential construction division focuses on high end new-construction, additions, and major renovations.
Essential Responsibilities & Expectations: You will be expected to successfully manage a portfolio of at least $2.5M in residential construction annual revenue including but not limited to the following responsibilities & expectations:
- Overall project success. Driving all projects within your portfolio to completion on time, on budget, and to PCI’s quality expectations.
- Supporting the estimation team as needed, including reviewing estimates and proposals for all new construction projects in accordance with company operating procedures.
- Manage the pre-construction phase including processing approved proposals and contracts, permitting, site staging agreements, material submittals and procurement, underground utility compliance, detailed record keeping, scheduling, as well as client and production staff communication.
- Assume full ownership of day-to-day project execution. Oversee and proactively manage day-to-day operations of all construction projects within your portfolio, while providing exceptional customer service, and meeting financial goals through efficient and safe operations. This includes daily scheduling and proactive management of the portfolio’s superintendent, field crews, and subcontractors, as well as timesheet approvals, scheduling updates, and thorough documentation and record keeping.
- Project budget management including but not limited to invoicing, job-costing, material expenditure management, expense approval and classification, and cash flow projections.
- Plan and specification management ensuring that all project related documentation is current and up to date.
- Material management including submittals, procurement, and cost management.
- Estimate and manage all project change orders.
- Ensure client needs are being clearly identified, met or exceeded. Ensure any client issues are resolved promptly.
- Client communication including but not limited to proactive project communication and weekly updates, meeting minute recaps, phone calls, text messages, and documentation.
- Manage our premium brand image by producing top quality work, ensuring all associates are in uniform and properly equipped with safety equipment at all times, ensuring all equipment, trucks and trailers are clean and well maintained.
- Maintain a neat, professional, organized job site.
- Manage safety standards.
- Work directly with the CEO, CFO and other management staff to uphold company standards and further develop our business.
- Develop your associates by helping them establish a career path at PCI, establishing goals, and pushing them to reach their potential.
Position Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Construction Supervisor License (CSL)
- 5 years experience in a residential construction project management role
- Computer, iPad, and smartphone proficiency in the following areas: email, text, construction estimating software, timekeeping software, file management software, and Microsoft suite.
- Self-motivated, intelligent, conscientious, and highly organized
- Strong literacy skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual base salary range of $100-$150K pending experience, productivity, and capability levels.
