Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Geologist with a strong background in production
geology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in
underground mining operations, ore control, and grade monitoring, ensuring efficient
and safe extraction of mineral resources.
Key Responsibities
- Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and interpretation to support production
activities.
- Monitor ore quality and grade control during mining operations.
- Collaborate with mine planning and operations teams to optimize extraction.
- Maintain accurate geological records and reports for compliance and operational
efficiency.
- Utilize geological software and modeling tools for resource estimation and planning.
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production geology within mining operations.
- Strong knowledge of ore deposit geology and mineral processing, preferably in
Fluorspar.
- Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Vulcan, Leapfrog, Surpac,
Datamine).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with underground mining and Utah rock formations.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures for sampling and data integrity.
- Ability to work in remote or challenging environments.
