Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
- Prepare and process accurate weekly payroll.
- Review and audit electronic timecards for accuracy and completeness.
- Process payroll adjustments including garnishments, PTO, sick leave, insurance, and retirement deductions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Review and complete weekly certified payroll reporting.
Human Resources
- Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee orientation.
- Administer employee benefits, coordinate annual open enrollment and verify monthly insurance invoices.
- Respond to unemployment claims and provide required documentation.
- Assist with workers' compensation claims and OSHA recordkeeping.
- Maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and employee records.
Qualifications:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience using payroll software.
- Experience administering payroll deductions, benefits, and timekeeping systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and employment laws.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Preferred
- Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of certified payroll reporting, OSHA reporting, workers' compensation, and Affirmative Action compliance.
