Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and management of diverse events, including corporate gatherings, banquets, fundraisers, and special occasions.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop innovative event concepts that meet objectives and budget parameters.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, caterers, and entertainment providers to secure the best terms and services.
- Oversee event marketing efforts to promote events effectively across multiple channels and maximize attendance.
- Manage client's requested budget and needs for their event to be exceptional and accurate.
- Coordinate all logistical details such as catering arrangements, venue setup, guest services, and technical requirements.
- Supervise onsite event operations to ensure smooth execution, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
- Upsell additional services or enhancements during events to increase revenue opportunities and enhance guest experiences.
- Foster excellent customer service by engaging with guests proactively and ensuring their needs are met with hospitality excellence.
- Develop organizational systems for tracking event progress, vendor communications, contracts, and post-event evaluations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or events management within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or banquet environments.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts with vendors and venues.
- Excellent marketing acumen with a focus on event marketing strategies that drive attendance and engagement.
- Exceptional communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, staff, and guests effectively.
- Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Prior banquet or catering experience is highly desirable; familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of fundraising activities can be advantageous for nonprofit or community-focused events.
- Experience in guest services or hospitality roles that emphasize customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
