We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and passionate Toddler Classroom Teacher to join our Childcare Program team. The Toddler Teacher will provide a safe, warm, and enriching environment for toddlers, while supporting their development in meeting age-appropriate milestones. The ideal candidate is patient, responsive, and knowledgeable about toddler development, with a passion for supporting children during this active and important stage of growth.
Supervision Received: The Toddler Classroom Teacher will report to the Early Learning Center Childcare Program Director or their designee.
Position Overview: The Toddler Classroom teacher is a salaried position and is responsible for working alongside another Toddler Classroom Teacher. These teachers together are responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for ages 15 months – 3 years old. This role would include planning curriculum as a team, maintaining strong communication with families, and ensuring compliance with EEC licensing/certification requirements.
Childcare Program Overview: The Childcare Program hours are 8:15am – 4:15pm, Monday through Friday

Child Care and Responsibilities
• Provide attentive, responsive, and individualized care to toddlers throughout the day.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of each child in the classroom.
• Support daily routines including diapering, potty training, handwashing, sleeping, and assisting with meals and snacks.
Daily Care Routines
• Maintain consistent schedules for arrival, meals, handwashing, naps, play, and transitions.
• Support diapering and toileting/potty training routines following all health and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist children with meals, handwashing, dressing, and developing self-help skills.
• Guide children through transitions and support nap/rest routines.
Curriculum and Development
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning standards.
• Support children’s growth across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Observe, document, and support each child’s developmental progress.
• Provide opportunities throughout the day that would encourage exploration, motor development, and social interaction.
• Encourage language, creativity, and exploration through hands-on activities.
Health and Safety
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Maintain active supervision and ensure children’s safety at all times.
• Follow all health, safety, and EEC licensing regulations
• Follow all Childcare Program Policies per the Program Handbook including but not limited to illness guidelines, accident, emergency policies, and choking hazards.
• Follow proper hygiene, diapering, toileting, and sanitation procedures.
• Regularly sanitize toys, materials, and classroom surfaces, following EEC expectations.
• Follow emergency procedures and complete required documentation.
Family Communication
• Build positive, strong, and respectful relationships with families
• Conduct daily communication with parents regarding routines, naps, and developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with families to support consistency between home and school.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communication.
• Participate in Parent-Teacher meetings 2 times a year following progress reports to provide developmental updates or as needed/requested from a family.
Team Collaboration
• Work collaboratively with the other Toddler Teachers and the rest of the childcare program’s teaching staff members
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
• Support the Childcare Programs overall goals.
Salary : $58,025 - $73,203
