Per Diem - Interventional Cardiologist

The Swedish Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a Per Diem Cardiologist for its program. The mission of this program is to provide safe, compassionate, collaborative, evidence-based and cost-effective treatment to the whole patient. This is an opportunity to be part of a complex coronary interventional program which includes left main and multi-vessel percutaneous coronary, mechanical circulatory support facilitated coronary intervention. You will be expected to participate in the pulmonary embolism response team and cardiogenic shock response team as well. This institute also has a strong clinical research program which provides resources and opportunities for multi-center clinical trials as well as investigator-initiated research projects. Additionally, the interventional cardiology program enjoys strong collaboration with other specialties including cardiac surgery, vascular medicine, critical care/pulmonary medicine, and cardiac anesthesia while emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach to the practice of cardiovascular medicine. Be a leader in percutaneous treatment of ischemic heart disease, with special emphasis on high-risk complex coronary intervention and mechanical circulatory support Willingness to participate and help refine PERT and Shock team services Interest in process improvement in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and becoming a leader in the cath lab * MD/DO degree from a recognized medical or osteopathic school required * Board certification in cardiovascular disease required * Fellowship training and/or experience in CHIP and MCS * Top-notch skills in communication, team dynamics, and culture creation required * Participation in cardiovascular clinical research studies and continuing medical education activities available * Compensation is between $330.65 and $460.53 per hour **Where You’ll Work** Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute is a leading cardiovascular care center with the broadest range of services, subspecialties and expertise in the region.
