The Providence Swedish Cancer Institute (PSCI) is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon to join its established and highly regarded Breast Surgery Program at the First Hill Campus in Seattle, Washington. This position offers the opportunity to practice within a comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer program that emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and collaboration.
You will join a collegial team of experienced breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, genetic counselors, and support staff dedicated to delivering high-quality care to patients across the Pacific Northwest.
**Position Overview:**
* FTE: Full-time (1.0 FTE)
* Location: Swedish Medical Center - First Hill Campus, Seattle, WA
* Practice Setting: Combination of outpatient clinic, operative care, and inpatient consultative services
**Clinical Responsibilities:**
* Provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with benign and malignant breast disease, including high-risk surveillance populations
* Perform a full range of breast surgical procedures, including breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy (skin- and nipple-sparing as appropriate), and sentinel lymph node biopsy
* Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary breast cancer program, participating in tumor boards and coordinated care planning
* Partner with plastic and reconstructive surgeons to support oncoplastic and reconstructive surgical options
* Participate in shared call coverage consistent with program needs
* Contribute to quality initiatives, clinical excellence, and program development across the Swedish Cancer Institute network
**Academic & Programmatic Opportunities:**
* Opportunities to participate in clinical research, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiatives, based on interest
* Teaching and mentorship opportunities with advanced practice clinicians, residents, and medical students
* Leadership opportunities may be available for experienced candidates interested in program growth and innovation
**Qualifications:**
* MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
* Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery
* Completion of a Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology Fellowship with a dedicated breast focus
* Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington
* Strong commitment to team-based care, patient-centered communication, and clinical excellence
* Interest in research, education, or leadership is welcomed but not required
