Residential Electrical Apprentice – Sales & Install (Pre-Existing Homes)

About the Role
Provident Electric is looking for a motivated electrical apprentice with approximately 3,000 hours of documented apprenticeship experience to join our residential team in a sales-install role. You'll train directly under a vetted journeyman electrician, learning both the technical and customer-facing sides of residential electrical work.
The primary focus of this position is installations and service work in pre-existing homes, with additional work on new construction projects. Because so much of this job happens in occupied homes, strong customer service skills are just as important as your electrical experience — you'll be working face-to-face with homeowners every day.

What You'll Do
- Perform electrical installations in pre-existing homes (primary focus) and new construction homes
- Complete residential service work under the direct supervision of a vetted journeyman electrician
- Interact professionally with homeowners — explaining work, answering questions, and representing Provident Electric in customers' homes
- Support the sales-install process by helping identify customer needs and communicating options
- Ride with your journeyman from a designated park & ride location to job sites each day
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful work environment in occupied homes
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 3,000 hours of documented electrical apprenticeship experience
- Customer service experience — you're comfortable and professional working in customers' homes
- Experience in the pre-existing homes / residential service work industry strongly preferred
- Willingness to commute to a park & ride location (location varies based on job sites) and travel to job sites in the journeyman's van
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn under an experienced journeyman
- Interest in growing into a sales-install career path

- Daily commute: meet at a designated park & ride (varies by job location), then ride to job sites in the journeyman's van
