- Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
- Follow and modify the therapist’s plan of care, communicating with the evaluating therapist as needed.
- Administer treatment interventions such as therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy.
- Complete daily documentation and coordinate with the physical therapist on patient progress and treatment strategies.
- Communicate with referring providers regarding patient outcomes and recommendations.
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
- Board eligible or required to pass the next available board exam.
- Effective educator with excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
