What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Technologist position at Providence?
Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer. Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations. Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol. Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.

Position is Per Diem, 0.01 FTE, Day Shift, Hours are as needed.
Located onsite at Providence Valdez in Valdez Alaska

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training - Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 1 year of hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation.
