Senior Surgical Technician - Operating Room 1.0 FTE Evening

**Description** **Senior Surgical Technician at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This position is Full-Time (1.0 FTE) and Evening Shift.** **_$8,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment._** The Surgical Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs the surgical scrub role and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include reviewing preference lists and picking the supplies and instruments for a procedure; performing a surgical scrub and preparing the back table with the appropriate sterile instrumentation and supplies; providing support intra-operatively by anticipating the surgeon's needs and passing him/her the appropriate instrumentation and supplies when needed during the case; completing the cycle by taking instruments and equipment to the decontamination area at the end of the procedure and putting away left over supplies and equipment. Provides patient care to the following age groups: premature infants, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle and older adults.
