**Description** **Senior Data Engineer, Snowflake** **As a Senior Data Engineer you will be actively engaged in changing the way PHP utilizes and interacts with data. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape the way the business units and the company as a whole creates, interacts with, augments, and governs their data ecosystem. This role provides senior level data engineering expertise in a cloud-based environment as a part of an agile software development and delivery team. This position focuses on using data engineering tools and theory as part of a holistic end-to-end approach to delivering highly available solutions to users. A senior data engineer leads exploration and adoption of new technologies, paradigms and architectures that help to continuously improve the capabilities of the team. Extensive experience in data engineering using modern python based frameworks such as pandas, numpy, great expectations, pyarrow, s3fs, boto3, pytest. Experience implementing, and maintaining enterprise scale data lakes. Experience with Automation including Unit and Integration Testing. Experience with data warehouse technologies such as Redshift, MySQL, SQL Server, Athena, dbt, Aurora, and Snowflake. Experience with administering and utilizing orchestration platforms such as Apache Airflow, and AWS Step Functions. Experience with applying data engineering theory and best practices to solve business problems. Experience with data security paradigms and their role in data engineering architectures.
