**Description** Patient Transporter at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full Time and will work <80>-hour, Day shifts. Performs scheduling for all modalities within the Imaging Services Department. - Processes and coordinates requests for Radiology Services between patients, physician offices, IPAs and staff Radiologist. - Obtains necessary orders, authorizations, pre-certification, CPT and ICD-9 codes for scheduled modalities. - Communicates procedures, protocols and preps for all exams in each modality. - Schedules specialized procedures including biopsies, drainages and aspirations. - Monitors and maintains inventory for all modalities in Imaging Services. - Orders and maintains inventory for all modalities in Imaging Services. - Maintains and processes data for Radiologist Peer review and Radiologist proctoring. - Uploads films and reports onto PACs for Cancer Conference presentation. - Uploads CDs and digitizes films onto PACs for comparison and Radiologist review. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
