Job Summary
Mammography Technologists perform mammographic imaging of the breast to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. They prepare and assist in breast imaging procedures in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for mammography exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality images of the breast tissue.
- Assist in performing ultrasound and other imaging modalities as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Requirements
- Completed a program in radiological technology.
- Certified in California Mammographic Radiologic Technology upon hire.
- National Registered Technologist - Mammography certification upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
