The Child Life Specialists empower children for life's challenges while providing high quality family-centered care as a part of a strong multidisciplinary team. The Child Life Specialist provides psychosocial and developmental based assessment and support to both patients and their families. Plans and provides emotionally and developmentally appropriate care that promotes effective coping with health care and continued cognitive and emotional growth. Enhances the quality of patient care through participation, documentation and communication with other members of the health care team. Serves as a resource and advocate on child development issues. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
