What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reading Teacher position at Providence School?
Providence School in Tequesta is an accredited private school distinguished by its mastery-based progression and personalized academic plans for each student. Our classrooms are capped at eight students, ensuring focused attention, and students are placed by academic skill level in each subject. We have a mastery based progression plan and a personalized learning plan for each student. We are looking for an experienced elementary teacher to teach 1:1 and small groups.
Experience with Wilson Reading System, Orton Gillingham, Spire, or another Evidence Based, research proven phonemic reading curriculum is required. Students are placed in instructional groups based on their academic levels and pace. Each academic plan is personalized. We seek a creative, passionate teacher who will engage the students through innovative methods, all within a structured and supportive environment. Qualifications:
- FL Professional Teaching License or Temporary
- Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience
- Experience Teaching Orton Gillingham or Wilson Reading or a similar reading program
- All Curriculum and Materials are provided
