What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Bible Teacher position at Providence School?
Providence School is seeking a part-time Long-Term Bible Substitute to teach one section each of Bible 9 (Old Testament Survey) and Bible 10 (New Testament Survey) while a faculty member is on leave. The role includes lesson delivery, grading, parent communication, and collaboration with the Bible department, along with participation in instructional coaching.
Schedule: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri (10–12 hours/week)
Mondays 11:15–2:15 • Tuesdays 8:15–11:45 • Wednesdays 10:30–2:15 • Fridays 11:30–2:45 • Additional student meetings as needed
Requirements:
- BA in Theology, Biblical Studies, or related field
- Strong knowledge of Old & New Testaments
- Ability to teach students from diverse denominational backgrounds
- Teaching experience preferred
- Proficiency with Google Workspace; ParentSquare a plus
