About Us
The Landing is a unique café, gallery, gift shop, and ice cream parlor located in downtown Providence. We proudly serve New Harvest Coffee, Gifford’s Ice Cream, and baked goods. We are also home to Ocean State Kayak and the Providence River Boat Company—making us a fast-paced, fun destination, especially during the summer season.
Schedule Requirements
- Summer hours (starting May): 7 days/week, ~9AM–9PM
- Availability for both weekday and weekend shifts required
- WaterFire availability required (shifts may go until ~11PM)
Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and ice cream orders
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service
- Open and/or close the café
- Clean and maintain café, bathrooms, and storefront daily
- Restock inventory and supplies
- Assist with retail sales and merchandising
- Check in guests for boat tours and kayak rentals using POS system
Qualifications
- No experience required (barista/ice cream experience is a plus)
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
