About the Role:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our pediatric patients in our Centerville office. The LPN will be responsible for educating patients and their families about health conditions and care plans, promoting better health outcomes. Working collaboratively with our Physicians and Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare professionals, the LPN supports comprehensive care delivery tailored to individual patient needs. Ultimately, this role ensures that patients receive compassionate, competent, and timely nursing care while adhering to regulatory standards and office policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the United States.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
- Demonstrated experience in patient care within an outpatient.
- Ability to perform injections and CLIA waived testing.
- Basic knowledge of patient education principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working alongside Nurse Practitioners and Physicians in a collaborative healthcare setting..
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experienced in Pediatric patient care
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients, measure and record vital signs.
- Complete patient interview and history.
- Prepare patients for examinations, testing and treatment.
- Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms.
- Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, perform routine laboratory tests on samples
- Administrative duties as required.
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and state regulations to ensure patient safety and quality care.
Skills:
Nursing license validation guarantees that the LPN meets professional standards and legal requirements to practice safely. Preferred skills like collaboration with Physicians and Nurse Practitioners and familiarity with EHR systems enhance care coordination and documentation accuracy, contributing to a seamless healthcare experience. Strong attention to detail and organization abilities. Proficiency in medical terminology, computer skills and HIPAA.
