Duties
- Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders, and serve with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing, billing, and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, dining space, and service stations in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously through effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Upsell menu items to increase sales while providing detailed descriptions to enhance guest experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills and tips, and balance cash drawers at shift end.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and resolve any service issues promptly.
- Adhere to all food handling procedures, alcohol service laws, and safety protocols to guarantee a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality roles; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without sacrificing quality of service.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering, retail math calculations, and cash handling tasks.
- Experience working in catering or banquet settings is advantageous.
- Must possess a friendly demeanor, adaptability, and a team-oriented attitude to thrive in fast-paced environments like nightclubs or restaurants.
