Duties
- Respond to emergency calls for water, fire, flood, mold, or asbestos-related incidents, demonstrating emergency response readiness.
- Perform water damage restoration by extracting moisture, setting up drying equipment, and monitoring progress to prevent further damage.
- Conduct fire restoration tasks including debris removal, soot cleanup, and deodorization using appropriate cleaning techniques.
- Execute mold remediation procedures following safety standards to eliminate mold growth and prevent recurrence.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport equipment and personnel to job sites.
- Use hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration tools to perform repairs and cleaning tasks effectively.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use and respiratory protection measures during all operations.
- Assist with construction-related tasks such as minor repairs or demolition as needed during restoration projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines throughout each project.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of the restoration industry including water damage, fire damage, flood recovery, mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and general cleanup techniques.
- Proven experience with emergency response readiness and on-call coverage for urgent situations.
- Skilled in the operation of hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning machines, and company vehicles with a focus on safety.
- Ability to follow safety protocols including PPE use.
- Construction experience is a plus for performing minor repairs or demolition tasks efficiently.
