Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Living Support: Assist patients with essential activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and social interaction to foster a warm, positive atmosphere.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and document changes in patient health, behavior, or mood, and report concerns to the supervising healthcare provider.
- Environmental Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living space for patients.
- Mobility Assistance: Help patients move safely around their homes and assist with mobility devices or transfers.
- Medication Support: Ensure patients take prescribed medications as directed (if applicable).
- Outings & Appointments: Accompany patients to medical appointments or social outings when needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in home health or personal care is preferred.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Compassion: A caring, patient-centered approach with a genuine desire to improve others’ quality of life.
- Certifications: CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are a plus.
