Description

SUMMARY:

This employee will support air permitting and compliance projects by assisting with the development of permit applications, reports, and other demonstrations required by state and federal regulatory agencies.

This is an hybrid position with some time spend in Providence’s Baton Rouge, Louisiana location.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)

  • Bachelors or Master’s in Engineering (preferred), Environmental Science, Chemistry, Meteorology, or related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in air permitting and compliance
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and computer skills.
  • Possess the ability to coordinate and work effectively in a team setting.
  • EI certification, preferred.
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and plot plans a plus.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit annual compliance and other routine regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Create, review, and revise compliance plans, process descriptions, and other technical documentation, incorporating regulatory standards, internal procedures, and client specific requirements.
  • Develop and verify air emissions calculations, including the manipulation, analysis, and quality control review of large and complex data sets to support compliance and permitting activities.
  • Perform state and federal regulatory applicability analyses for industrial processes, documenting findings and communicating regulatory obligations to project teams and clients.
  • Conduct and support facility inspections, audits, and sampling events, including preparation, on site coordination, data collection, and post inspection documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and compile air permit applications, coordinating inputs from internal teams and clients and resolving regulator comments as needed.
  • Contribute as an active member of multiple project teams, independently managing assigned tasks while meeting defined scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all safety, ethical, and confidentiality requirements set forth by Providence and its clients, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks or concerns.
