WE’RE GROWING! | PART-TIME GUIDE-IN-TRAINING
Providence Academy of Gainesville – An Acton Imprimis Academy is looking for a part-time Guide-in-Training / Floater to join our team for the remainder of the 2026–27 school year.
This is more than a typical part-time school position. We are looking for someone who wants to immerse themselves in the Acton model, learn our processes and culture, and grow alongside our school—with the potential to step into a full-time Guide position for the 2027–28 school year.
What the role looks like:
- Work alongside and learn from our experienced Guides
- Float between studios and assist where needed
- Learn our daily rhythms, systems, expectations, and learner-driven processes
- Build relationships with learners and become part of our school community
- Help facilitate activities, projects, discussions, and studio life
- Step in to support Guides and learners as needed
- Receive hands-on experience with the Acton approach before potentially moving into a full-time Guide role
Who we’re looking for:
Someone who is warm, dependable, energetic, humble, and eager to learn. You should genuinely enjoy children while also believing they are capable of far more than adults often give them credit for.
Our ideal candidate is comfortable guiding rather than lecturing, asking questions rather than always providing answers, and allowing learners to struggle productively, solve problems, and take ownership of their education.
Experience in education is helpful, but a traditional teaching background is not required. We care more about character, mindset, initiative, and willingness to learn our model.

Position: Part-Time Guide-in-Training / Floater
Location: Gainesville, Georgia
Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday, part-time hours
Opportunity: Potential full-time Guide position for the 2027–28 school year
