Maintenance Technician 1st Shift ensures safe and efficient operation of facility electrical systems and machinery through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while adhering to safety codes and regulations. The role supports continuous production flow and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical components, including motors, relays, breakers, and controls
Conduct regular inspections and servicing of machinery and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns
Install electrical fixtures, wiring, conduit, and power equipment per blueprints and schematics
Calibrate equipment and instruments in line with the calibration program
Perform general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, welding, electrical, painting, piping, and greasing
Follow good manufacturing practices, HACCP principles, and regulatory standards including NFPA 70E, NEC, and Lockout/Tagout
Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and specifications in all duties
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility or related industry
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with internal customers, peers, and management
Adaptability to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles
Ability to work effectively in a team environment in alignment with core values
Preferred Skills:
Completion of relevant technical training or apprenticeship (preferred)
