- Design and optimize formulations, prepare prototype samples, conduct sensory and developmental testing, evaluate ingredient functionality, and support pilot runs, scale-up, and first production launches.
- Partner closely with Sales, Production, Regulatory, QA/QC, and Supply Chain on customer innovation projects, technical meetings, quotes, costing, and commercialization support.
- Prepare and maintain R&D documentation, including product specifications, ingredient and packaging qualification records, label and supplement facts review support, and food safety/regulatory materials.
- Maintain an organized application lab, manage ingredient and sample inventory, and support equipment calibration and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, or a related field; [suggestion: 1 years of product development experience for Scientist I, or 3-5 years for Scientist II].
- Strong background in food ingredients, supplements, and functional ingredients; experience with powders, drink mixes, capsules, tablets, or similar systems is highly preferred.
