Performance Engineer with SRE

Introduction:

As a Performance Engineer with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our systems and applications. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to identify and address performance issues, implement monitoring solutions, and optimize system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct performance testing and analysis to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability.
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools such as ELK, AppDynamics, and Jmeter to track performance metrics.
• Create dashboards and alerts to proactively monitor system performance and availability.
• Participate in Chaos Engineering exercises to test system resilience under stress.
• Tune Python applications for optimal performance.
• Work on Core Web Vitals and API performance engineering.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Experience in Performance Engineering and SRE roles.
• Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong knowledge of Python programming language.
• Experience with API performance testing and optimization.
• Familiarity with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Experience using monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Jmeter.
• Understanding of Real User Monitoring (RUM) techniques.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Chaos Engineering practices.
• Ability to create effective alerting systems and dashboards.
• Knowledge of best practices for application tuning and optimization.
