Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Clinical (lab-based, patient samples) Microbiologist role based in Novi, MI. The Clinical Microbiologist will perform microbiological testing, analyze results, and ensure accurate reporting. Responsibilities include utilizing laboratory equipment, maintaining quality control and quality assurance standards, and adhering to regulatory guidelines. Additional tasks include contributing to the development and optimization of laboratory workflows and ensuring all processes comply with stringent standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Laboratory Skills and expertise in handling Laboratory Equipment
- Strong knowledge of Microbiology, including testing and analysis methodologies
- Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes
- Ability to work with precision under strict regulatory and safety guidelines
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, paired with attention to detail
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is strongly preferred
- Certification in clinical microbiology (e.g., ASCP) is a plus
