Laboratory Technician

Provenance Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our diagnostic laboratory

team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing clinical testing, analyzing and

reporting results, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in a high-quality, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document diagnostic laboratory testing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Accurately analyze and report patient test results in a timely manner
• Promptly report any issues or deviations from SOPs to a supervisor
• Assist with molecular assay validations and implementation of new diagnostic tests
• Maintain accurate records, including quality control, calibrations, and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Troubleshoot issues affecting assay performance, specimens, instrumentation, or results; resolve or escalate as appropriate
• Manage inventory and perform related clerical and data entry tasks
• Train and mentor team members as needed
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, COLA, and other regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
• Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Medical Technology, or a related field
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical/diagnostic laboratory environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP (or equivalent) certification
• Experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting
• Familiarity with molecular diagnostic techniques and laboratory instrumentation
