Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description Forklift Operator – Elgin, IL POSITION SCOPE: Forklift Operators are responsible for moving raw materials and finished goods from one area to another within both our warehouse and production environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes and you’ll use different types of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies. REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Safely load, unload, sort, stack, stage, label, and transport raw materials and finished goods into and out of warehouse/production area using forklift • Arrange cartons on pallets and load/unload trucks keeping in mind size, weight • Unload trucks and stage freight • Maintain attention to detail and complete work assigned in a timely manner • Follow company safety policies and procedures QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum of 1-year experience as a Forklift Operator • Ability to work and communicate well with others • Attention to detail and safety standards • Ability to read and understand written forms and packaging labels • Ability to write information clearly on forms and log sheets • Basic industrial math • Teamwork and communication skills PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
