Federal Facilities & Space Planning Project Manager
PROVEN Management, LLCLocation: Denver / Lakewood / Golden, ColoradoDiscipline: Facilities Management | Space Planning | Project ManagementEmployment Type: Full-TimeWork Arrangement: Primarily On-SiteSalary Range: $90,000–$115,000 annuallyApplication Period: September 16, 2026 through October 2, 2026Anticipated Start Date: October 2026
About the Position
PROVEN Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Federal Facilities & Space Planning Project Manager to support our federal projects in the Denver metropolitan area.
We are looking for someone who understands how federal facilities operate and can move comfortably between the field, architectural drawings, space plans, project schedules, contractors, government stakeholders, and building occupants.
This is not strictly a construction project management position. The ideal candidate has experience supporting federal facilities, space planning, workplace projects, renovations, relocations, furniture installations, and facility operations.
You do not need to be an architect or interior designer. You do need to be comfortable opening a set of architectural drawings, understanding what you are looking at, walking the space, and identifying how the plans translate into actual field conditions.
What You Will Do
The Federal Facilities & Space Planning Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of facility and workplace projects for federal clients.
Responsibilities include:
● Serve as a primary day-to-day project representative for assigned federal projects.
● Coordinate with government representatives, GSA, facility managers, architects, engineers, contractors, furniture vendors, movers, and other project stakeholders.
● Read and interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, furniture plans, construction documents, and related project information.
● Conduct field surveys and verify existing site conditions against project drawings and requirements.
● Support space planning, programming, workplace layouts, employee seating requirements, and space utilization.
● Review proposed layouts for operational impacts, circulation, furniture requirements, constructability, and relocation considerations.
● Coordinate furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), technology, construction, and relocation activities.
● Participate in project meetings and provide clear and concise project updates.
● Develop and maintain project schedules, milestone dates, action items, issue logs, and other project controls.
● Track project risks, outstanding decisions, dependencies, and potential schedule impacts.
● Conduct site walks and monitor work for compliance with project requirements.
● Identify discrepancies between drawings, project requirements, and actual field conditions and coordinate resolution.
● Coordinate with contractors and vendors to support sequencing and minimize disruption to occupied federal facilities.
● Support move planning and employee relocation activities as required.
● Assist with furniture planning, installation coordination, punch lists, and closeout.
● Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, reports, schedules, photographs, and closeout information.
● Communicate project status, concerns, and recommendations to PROVEN leadership and government stakeholders.
● Anticipate issues and work collaboratively with the project team to resolve them before they affect operations, cost, or schedule.
Required Qualifications
● Experience supporting federal government facilities or federal projects.
● Experience in facilities management, project management, workplace planning, space management, architecture/interiors, construction, or a closely related discipline.
● Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural plans, floor plans, construction documents, and furniture plans.
● Experience conducting field surveys, site walks, or existing-condition verification.
● Experience coordinating multiple project stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and client representatives.
● Strong project organization and documentation skills.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in an active project environment.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
● Ability to work primarily onsite within the Denver, Lakewood, and Golden, Colorado area.
● Ability to travel as required by project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring several of the following:
● Hands-on space planning or space management experience.
● AutoCAD or comparable drawing/software experience.
● Experience reviewing architectural and furniture plans.
● Experience with workplace renovations and tenant improvement projects.
● Experience with furniture systems and FF&E.
● Experience planning or coordinating office relocations and move management.
● Experience working with GSA and federal agency facility representatives.
● Experience working within occupied federal facilities.
● Understanding of federal project documentation, security requirements, and facility protocols.
● Familiarity with project scheduling and project management software.
● Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
● Facility Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification is a plus.
● LEED, NCIDQ, or other relevant facilities, design, construction, or project management credentials are also valued.
Who Will Be Successful in This Role
We are looking for someone who sees the entire project, not simply the individual task.
You should be equally comfortable walking a facility with a contractor, reviewing a space plan with a designer, discussing requirements with a federal client, reviewing a furniture installation, and sitting down afterward to document decisions and update the project schedule.
You should understand that successful federal project delivery requires strong documentation, responsiveness, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders.
Most importantly, you should be someone who can identify what needs to happen next and help move the project forward.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000–$115,000 annually.
Starting compensation will be determined based on relevant federal facilities experience, project management experience, space planning and technical capabilities, certifications, education, and other job-related qualifications.

● Medical insurance
● Dental insurance
● Vision insurance
