Role Description
This is a full-time PT and or hybrid position for a Vascular Access Nurse based in Chicago, IL, with opportunities for partial remote work. In this role, the nurse will provide expert insertion of midlines, PICCs, tunneled dialysis catheters, and ports at patient bedsides. The nurse will collaborate with clinical teams to evaluate vascular access needs, perform procedures with precision, and follow up on device integrity and patient progress. The position involves ensuring high-quality care, adherence to best practices, and participation in continuous quality improvement processes.
Qualifications
- Experience in Vascular Access procedures and techniques, such as insertion of PICCs, midlines, ports, and tunneled dialysis catheters
- Strong foundation in Medicine, Vascular, and Peripheral Vascular care
- Current Nursing licensure and clinical expertise in patient care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient safety and optimized clinical outcomes
- Ability to travel locally within the Chicago area and provide on-site services
- BLS and ACLS certifications; CRNI or VA-BC certification is strongly preferred
- Prior experience in critical care, interventional radiology, or vascular surgery is an advantage
