Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and structural projects. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Use hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), brushes, rollers, and other equipment to apply coatings accurately and efficiently
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to determine appropriate painting techniques and materials
• Perform construction site surface preparation tasks such as masonry repair, stucco application, trimming carpentry, and fixture installation as needed
• Execute various types of painting including residential painting, commercial painting, structural painting, renovation projects, and restoration work with attention to detail
• Follow safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work to maintain a safe environment for yourself and others
• Conduct visual color comparisons and select appropriate paints or coatings based on project requirements while ensuring color consistency
• Utilize ladder use safely for elevated surfaces and handle scaffolding or other access equipment when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and communicate progress or issues with supervisors effectively

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction painting or related fields such as remodeling, maintenance, or handyman work with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques
• Knowledge of various painting methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including construction spray), and coating application
• Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for precise project execution
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment safely and effectively
• Understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites including respiratory protection protocols
• Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities accurately
• Experience with caulking, trim carpentry, plastering, masonry work or fixture installation is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for color accuracy through visual comparison techniques
• Valid experience in construction site environments with knowledge of renovation processes and surface treatments
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to teamwork
