Key Responsibilities
Location: Mattoon, IL
Scheduled Hours : 40
- Assist Neuro Techs with NCVs and other neurodiagnostic procedures.
- Perform high-quality EEGs following lab standards; ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.
- Obtain clear, detailed patient histories and explain procedures to patients/families.
- Identify, monitor, and eliminate artifacts; perform routine activation procedures such as hyperventilation.
- Produce accurate and complete EEG reports with strong clinical observations.
- Verify MD orders and confirm correct patient identification.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to patient emergencies; maintain infection-control practices.
- Maintain understanding of medications and their clinical impact on EEG results.
- 2 years EEG or EMG/Neurodiagnostic experience (Required)
- ABRET certification (Required)
- BLS (AHA) certification (Required)
