Job Description
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality CT (Computed Tomography) imaging procedures in an outpatient setting while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality. This role involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to support accurate diagnosis and excellent patient care.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Review patient medical history and ensure appropriate screening prior to imaging.
- Position patients correctly and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently, including contrast administration when required.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any adverse reactions.
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures, patient records, and radiation doses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment in compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide high-quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot minor issues, and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in quality control, accreditation requirements, and continuous process improvement.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) required
- Current state licensure required
- 1 year experience as a CT Technologist preferred (outpatient or hospital setting).
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
- New graduates with strong clinical training will be considered.
Pay: $35 and $40 per hour.
