Civil Engineer

Job Summary

The Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality engineering and design documents that are constructable and meet the project's critical success factors. Responsibilities

Client Perspective

• Assist in client communications for specific projects.
• Attend client and public meetings (including evenings as needed).
  
  

Internal Business Process

• Use engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil3D) to develop plans and reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and compliance.
• Adhere to quality control plans for each project.
• Analyze and interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, permits, and designs.
• Contribute to cost estimation for construction projects.
• Exercise independent judgment within defined guidelines.
• Serve as on-site project representative.
• Produce design computations and quantity estimates with increasing autonomy.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Assist in preparing deliverables within budget and timeline constraints.
• Communicate with project leaders to understand scope, schedule, and budget.
• Efficiently manage time to meet milestones and financial targets.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• BS in Civil Engineer (Land/Site Development)
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE). (Preferred)
• Valid driver's license.
  
  

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Competence in basic and advanced math concepts (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, financial functions).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3D
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift 25 lbs., and perform typical office and site tasks.
• Capable of extended hours and overnight travel as needed.
  
  

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based, with some travel to construction sites.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions and loud construction environments.
