Summary
Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of litigation experience to join its growing civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in civil defense litigation and the opportunity to manage active litigation matters from inception through resolution, including court appearances, depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation in both state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in a variety of civil litigation matters.
Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
Interview clients, witnesses, and experts.
Assist with case strategy, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
Manage litigation deadlines and maintain active caseloads.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Oklahoma.
Minimum 1 Year Of Civil Litigation Experience.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in civil defense, insurance defense, employment litigation, civil rights, constitutional law, or general liability is preferred but not required.
