Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Control and maintain assigned locations within set operational budgets.
- Oversee work scheduling for all account personnel.
- Manage inventory and usage of sanitary supplies, cleaning supplies, machinery, and safety equipment.
- Prepare supply orders in accordance with company procedures and budgetary limits.
- Scheduling & Inspection:
- Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual work schedules, maintaining detailed logs.
- Conduct location inspections and audits (at least 10 per week) to ensure work meets quality standards and client requirements.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans for unsatisfactory findings, submitting reports to management.
- Maintain up-to-date inspection files.
- Staff Management & Administration:
- Lead, train, counsel, and discipline assigned staff to ensure adherence to company policies, timekeeping, safety protocols, uniform standards, and proper chemical handling.
- Prepare time sheet coversheets using manual timesheets or clock cards, providing necessary supporting documentation for missing punches or signatures.
- Prepare administrative paperwork for new hires, role changes, and terminations.
- Operations & Client Relations:
- Maintain effective lines of communication with client and facility personnel to ensure needs are met.
- Support staff management, customer relations, and special project work as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment across facilities.
- Demonstrate quality leadership and promote company culture, values, and performance goals.
- Education & Experience:
- Two-year college degree AND 3-5 years of operating experience in the janitorial industry; OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and industry experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Key Skills & Competencies:
- Language: Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Operational: Strong organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to handle multi-faceted projects under pressure.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; proven ability to direct, coach, and hold teams accountable.
- Work Schedule: Willingness and ability to work occasional weekends as required.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach up, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals using appropriate personal protective equipment.
