Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Manager to lead daily operations within a high-volume sterile processing department. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, supporting staff development, and collaborating with clinical departments to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day sterile processing operations and departmental workflow
- Lead, mentor, and support sterile processing staff and team leads
- Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and quality standards
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and continuing education of staff
- Monitor departmental performance and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to support operational efficiency
- Manage inventory, equipment, and resource utilization
- Maintain regulatory and accreditation compliance
Required
- CRCST or CSPDT Certification
- Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing experience
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization processes, and infection control
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
- Surgical Technology education
- Experience in large acute-care hospitals or surgery centers
- Supports OR, CVOR, Endoscopy, Labor & Delivery, and Ambulatory Clinics
- Uses SPM Workflow system
- Team includes 7 Team Leads and approximately 80 FTEs
- Opportunity to lead a large, fast-paced department
- Salary: $52,000 - $90,000 (based on experience)
