Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist/Programmer role located in Winneconne, WI. The CNC Machinist/Programmer will set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines to produce precision components for tube and pipe manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures, writing and modifying CNC programs, and performing test runs to ensure parts meet specifications. The role involves monitoring machining operations, inspecting finished parts, and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards and production efficiency. The CNC Machinist/Programmer will also work closely with engineering and production teams to support prototype builds, continuous improvement efforts, and safe shop practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CNC Machine Operation and general Machinery handling, including setup, adjustment, and safe operation.
- Strong Machining and Mill and Lathe skills with experience producing precision parts to tight tolerances from engineering drawings.
- Experience in Quality Control, including part inspection, use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and documentation of results.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T; experience programming CNC equipment (e.g., G-code, CAM software) is highly beneficial.
- Solid mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to safety, organization, and cleanliness in the work area; ability to lift and handle materials as required by the job.
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer in a metalworking or equipment manufacturing setting preferred; relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent work experience is advantageous.
