Position Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Position Description: Protingent has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer with our client in Washington, DC.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, analysis, fabrication, testing, and integration of electrical systems for both ground support equipment and flight hardware.
• Develop analog and digital circuitry to support measurement, control, and instrumentation functions for thermal and electromechanical systems.
• Work across the full lifecycle of power systems, including battery technology selection, system sizing, packaging, and testing for a variety of chemistries and mission environments.
  
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the design, analysis, fabrication, testing, and integration of electrical systems for ground support and flight systems.
• Experience designing, analyzing, and testing analog and digital circuitry for thermal, electromechanical, control, and instrumentation systems.
• Expertise in the sizing, technology selection, packaging, and testing of power systems, including batteries of various chemistries.
• Strong understanding of component ratings, environmental and performance limitations, radiation impacts, grounding and shielding methods, electromagnetic compatibility, and thermal effects.
• Proficiency with electronics design and simulation tools such as OrCAD, PSpice, ELECTRO, and MAGNETO.
• Skilled in the use of electronic instrumentation and test equipment.
• Experience with government procurement practices, regulations, and compliance requirements is a plus.

• Job Type: Direct Hire
• Location: Washington, DC.
• Salary Range: $150K-$175K
• US Citizen and Active Secret clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
