Job Description:
- We have an urgent opening for a Water/Wastewater Project Manager focused on the design and management of critical facility and infrastructure projects.
- This role requires managing and designing water and wastewater facility projects from inception to completion.
- The primary focus is ensuring all technical designs, specifications, and reports meet high-quality objectives and regulatory criteria.
- The Project Manager will lead single and multi-disciplined projects while providing technical guidance to the project team.
- A key component of this role involves business development through the active management of existing client relationships.

- Project Management: Prepare and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure economical and timely delivery.
- Technical Design: Prepare and review designs for water/wastewater treatment plants as well as collection and distribution infrastructure.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all technical aspects follow company quality objectives as well as local, state, and federal criteria (TCEQ, etc.).
- Leadership & Mentoring: Act as a technical lead on multi-disciplined projects, providing guidance and mentorship to junior project team members.
- Client Representation: Represent the company in client and agency meetings to resolve technical questions, coordinate work, and plan future projects.
- Independent Decision Making: Take full responsibility for project engineering solutions and coordinate ideas effectively with the broader management team.
- Education: An ABET-accredited B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or an applicable alternate engineering degree.
- Licensure: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas (or ability to acquire registration through reciprocity) is mandatory.
- Experience Level: Minimum 6 years of professional experience specifically related to water or wastewater plant and infrastructure design.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Operational knowledge of TCEQ, City of Houston, Harris County, and Montgomery County regulations.
- Technical Communication: Strong technical writing skills and the ability to interpret complex professional journals and governmental regulations.
- Soft Skills: Proven organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated experience in business development or managing existing municipal client accounts.
- Ambition to advance into department-level leadership and personnel management.
