POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support our mortgage-focused investment platform. This role is responsible for financial reporting, portfolio monitoring, loan-level performance analysis, and operational oversight across a growing portfolio of mortgage investments. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities with a process-improvement mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary responsibility for financial reporting function across the mortgage-focused investment platform.
  • Reconcile monthly investor remittances to ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan-level reporting, including verification of accrued interest, loan payoffs, and delinquent asset status.
  • Aggregate and report month-end portfolio statistics to lenders, verifying financial data, including unpaid principal balances, escrow accounts, and remaining interest reserves.
  • Confirm data consistency related to mortgage loan acquisitions.
  • Assist in the administration of the draw process for construction mortgage loans, validating the project progress aligns with the overall scope of work and authorizing the timely and accurate release of funds to contractors.
  • Coordinate the collection, validation, and reconciliation of data across internal systems, fund administrators, servicers, and other third-party service providers.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze performance track records and related reporting.
  • Monitor portfolio cash balances and execute capital call, drawdown, and distribution activities.
  • Support investor due diligence requests.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, fund accounting, investment operations, commercial real estate finance, mortgage lending, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and convey information effectively while maintaining great attention to detail in all documentation and client interactions.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a demonstrated interest in improving workflows, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Must be presently legally authorized to work in the United States for any U.S. employer now or in the future.
  • This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $87,500 USD. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related factors, including but not limited to education and skills, and is commensurate with experience. Additional compensation and benefits include a discretionary bonus, healthcare plan, 401(k) matching program, and flexible paid time off.
