Description
This position will be responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and ensuring that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail, timely delivery, and accuracy. The successful candidate will follow the company policies and procedures and comply with IATA and CFR dangerous goods shipping requirements. This position will successfully process orders (product receipts, item transfers, item transactions, item look-up for availability, review open Purchase Orders, processing orders, etc.) in Great Plains, the company’s ERP system to support Proteor’s distribution channels. The successful candidate will be cross-trained to backfill or support other Supply Chain functions as needed.
Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follows Proteor policies and procedures (safety, receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment).
- Responsible for pulling, packing, and shipping all outgoing shipments (stocking orders, customer orders, and inter-company transfers – domestically and internationally).
- Inspect incoming and outgoing material for defects and damage.
- Organize and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Receive, unload, and stock inventory in the correct location (including truck/container).
- Adhere to company safety procedures.
- Assemble product bundle packs.
- Able to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and such).
- Ability to lift and move heavy products.
- Contribute to the department’s effort by accomplishing specific tasks as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supply Chain Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- At least a 1 year of distribution or manufacturing equivalent work experience.
- Computer proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality work.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team.
- Must be able to sustain prolonged sitting or standing.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. at times.
